Team Mississippi won for the third year in a row the Tri-State Junior Girls Golf Championship, held at Greenwood Country Club on June 3-4. Team Mississippi defeated Team Arkansas and Team Louisiana. The two-day tournament consisted of three rounds of match play. Round One was a four-ball scramble. Round Two featured alternate shot play. Round Three consisted of individual match play. Out of 24 matches, Mississippi won 11 matches, Louisiana won nine and Arkansas four. Emily Ross of Diamondhead and Lauren Durbin of Biloxi both won their individual matches to propel Mississippi past Louisiana.
