Jane Gooch--North East--No report.  Encouraging others to participate.
Gai Davis--North West--Greenville and Grenada are thinking about disbanding  their ladies association due to lack of members.  Will be checking with Dogwood  in Grenada about starting a ladies organization and joining the state association.

Committee Reports:
Newsletter--will be sent to all participants in state tournaments without charge.
Rules--Rules officials for the 2007 State Am will be Skip Dews, Shug Campbell, Fran Ward  and Clarksdale Golf Pro Jason Bailey.
Tournament Reports:
'07 State Am.--Fran Ward--64 participants with eight per flight.  24 participants  with less than a 10 handicap.  Facilities are great. Trophy winners are to return  trophies and they are to be polished by those returning the trophy.

State 4-Ball--Fran Ward--There are four openings for this tournament July 17  and 18 at the Oaks Country Club.  There will be a social Monday night at  Hollywood casino.  Shotgun start both days with lunch immediately after each  day.

State Junior tournament--Jeanne Taylor--Ally McDonald was the winner. Ten  girls participated at Patrick Farms.  Did not feel this was a good response and may  look at having a one day tournament to get more participants.  Will talk to the  parents for feed back and discuss further at the February '08 Winter board  meeting.

State Seniors--Sissy Kern--Canton country club September 17, 18 an 19.  Host  hotel is Comfort Inn.

Tri-State Juniors--Jeanne Taylor--Held at Colonial with Lousiana winning  again.  Future field will be composed of eight players and an alternate each from  Ms., La., and Ark.

Magnolia Scholarship--Jeanne Taylor--Three students, Audrey Johnson, Britany  Hanna and Jennifer Judge are recipients of 2007 Magnolia scholarships.

Old Business:
It was moved and seconded that Chrissie Kelly of Okatoma be approved for  individual membership.  Motion passed.

It was noted that two players from Old Waverly were registered to play in the  '07 State Am and Old Waverly is not a member club of MWGA. Skip Dews will  see that the situation is resolved by getting them or the club to pay the $50.00  dues or reregistering as MSU players.

Introduction of MWGA Point System
A point system was devised by a committee of Fran Ward, Skip Dews, Lou Hart and Pam Posey.  The purpose of the point system is to enable the organization to select an appropriate representative from Ms. for the USGA Team.  MWGA finances this person and feels they should be participate in MWGA events to qualify for the team. A hand out was distributed explaining how points could be earned.  After using this system for a period of time it may be revised.  It will not be used to select Team cup members until 2008.  It was moved and seconded that the point system be accepted.  Motion passed.

SWATCA Report--Jeanne Taylor
Will be held in the Tampa area November 3, 4, and 5.  For liability purposes players must now be 21 years of age to participate.  Condos are available for team members and spectators.  Interested persons should contact Skip.

Other New Business:
Suggestion that e-mail addresses be added to the questionnaire form sent out to member clubs in the Spring.
Sissy Kern requested that the SWATCA governing board reconsider Louisiana being reinstated in the SWATCA competition.  Potential LA.golfers are losing out on this golfing experience.
Suggestion that the newsletter and tournament entries be included on the website to avoid postage expenses.

A motion was made and seconded to adjourn.

Respectively submitted,
